Chapter 146 - Layout For Drill
\'Gold\'
The shimmering metal that had caused humanity to be on war more times than one can count. While its usefulness can never be put aside. But it had tarnished the hearts of man for a different reason altogether.
No one knew where this graze began but \'newbies\' associate a certain sense of richness when they see this shimmering metal. So when they got this metal in their hands and are encouraged to word to get more of it they cannot help but fall for their greed.
But alas, in Hell gold was rather abundant.

The group of four came back to the theater room all the while chatting on the way. As usual Klautz was rather silent with only the girls having their rants.
But they were obstructed on their way at the entrance to the theatre. Two guards dressed in heavy metallic armour stood in between.
The girls could only wonder what kind of trouble had befallen them again. But Klautz was unfazed.
"Which one is for me?" He asked.
None of them understood what he meant but the guard nodded and extended a box. Klautz dipped his hand in it and picked up a chit of paper and walked inside, the guards no longer obstructing him. The girls followed but were blocked again.
"Pick one first," ordered the guard and extended a box different than the one used by Klautz.
They got inside both a chit in their hands.
"Miss, what number did you get?" Shizu asked.
Her eyebrows were raised high. She was trying hard to peek at the chit folded in Verona\'s hand from the side.
"Ah, I got twenty one. Not sure what that means."
Verona wrung her ears and gave out a wry smile. She was not much comfortable with this new member especially after her show of raw power. If anything she was wary of Shizu.
"They are just room numbers, nothing much. And what about you big Sis?"
The chit was just a random lottery to assign everyone with their room mates. Thanks to the lottery no one would be able to complain no matter how bad their room mate is. They would just have to deal with it themselves.
Selena opened the chit in her hand to take a look at it again.
"It\'s sixty nine," she spoke in a daze not sure why she got such a weird number.
Shizu nodded again.
"You guys continue, I will be coming in a minute."
Saying so Shizu left and walked towards the entrance. Being a second Gen, she was the only one who wasn\'t obstructed by the guards and asked to pick a chit. Second Gen have completely different quarters than the newbies.
\'I guess I should get one for myself too\'
She walked towards the guard facing him.
"Hey mister, find me the chit that has the number sixty nine? There should be another one isn\'t it?"
The guard shook his head.
"No, I cannot do that. I was instructed by Boss to see through everything properly. I cannot help you."
"Oh yeah?"
Shizo tilted her head to the side but there was a sense of mockery in her eyes.
*Crackle*
Sparks flew across her yukata sleeves making crackling noises. Her lips arched into a smirk. Her black eyes enveloped in a coldness the guard had never seen.
*Gulp*
"Are you sure about not giving me one?"
While someone else might start having weird thoughts about a girl asking for such a number but the guard wasn\'t having one. He could only gulp at the pressure of hers.
The guard wanted to refuse but he was having second thoughts. He was definitely equal to Shizu in terms of strength. Hell! He might be even stronger than her.
But there was something else that created a vast between the two. So much so that he didn\'t want to offend her.
He was a middle-aged man while Shizu was fairly younger. She had a vast future ahead of her and she will grow in strength all the more.
He doesn\'t want to get on her bad side only for her to take revenge later. Not to mention that she had the backing of her guild.
\'I don\'t want to mess with that guy.\'
He sighed and toppled the box on a table looking for the number she wanted.
"Here ya go," he said, passing on the chit.
"Thankies!" Her face blossomed with a fitting smile. With a wave of her hand, she stormed towards her friends.
"Quite the gratitude you hold for me, after threatening me to such a degree," he whispered.
The guard rolled his eyes as he went back to his post.

Little by little the hall was getting occupied as more and more people were done with the check ups. They were anxious about what was to come after this.
The time that they spent in that hall was probably the quietest moments they would be ever spending in hell. And such a quietness only exists before a storm.
And soon enough Gozoto appeared on the stage.
"I expect all of you to be holding your room numbers at the moment. Brace yourself for your routine is tight. I would be dividing you into groups of five. My men would be keeping a watch on you as they take you to your hunts. As usual, the better you perform the more you would get."
Gozoto continued with his instruction which Ronald had already informed them from beforehand.
There were several monster hots spots around this area. But these hot spots had monsters that fell on the weaker side among most monsters in hell.
This was the little bit of leniency that Satan had shown them to aid in their survival. The place the newbies spawn is highly favorable for their grinding. But why did the Satan wants the humans to survive?
