The Typhoon's Dangerous Wife

Chapter 169 - TANG REINE : ZHENYI'S MOM

[Tang Reine\'s POV]

NOTE: Although the chapter is a part of Zhenyi\'s dream, it\'s told in Tang Reine\'s POV, so that readers can feel her and also ease all their confusions.

With one hand Tang Reine picked Jin Jiren\'s fallen sword and another went to stabilize her bump. Even though she couldn\'t flip or hurl, her sword skills were as great as ever.

She pulled Zhenyi to her side and hid her behind her and yelled, " You have to touch her by killing me first!"

And her cry started the impending doom.

Swords against swords. Cries against cries. Blood against blood. Mother Earth was polluted with the blood of traitors.

Even with her condition, she managed to kill almost twenty people. She looked at Jin Jiren in arrogance though she was creating heavily, her legs were giving away but her confidence and strength were as revitalized as ever.

"Do you know where else you can\'t defeat me?" Tang Reine sneered as she pointed the edge of the sword against his throat which was already slashed by her, but the goddamn traitor was still breathing and watching her kill his men before his eyes.

"You won\'t answer?" She asked him. "Then let me answer it myself."

"Jin Jiren, you can\'t defeat me when it comes to the massacre. I have been the reason for mass murders not once, not twice, and even thrice but several times. I\'ve killed more people than you have taken breaths. And what makes you think today that you will try to kill my children and I will let you?"

"E-ven if y-you man-ag-ge to protect them and yourself f-from me , the-y w-will ki-ll yo-you soon." These were Jin Jiren\'s last words before he took his last breath.

Tang Reine kneeled on the ground and shook his body as hard as she could. "You will rot in hell, Jin Jiren, and trust me, I will follow you there to kill you once again but it won\'t be so soon."

She looked around and found no one else but she knew it was only a matter of time before whoever planned to kill her would send another batch of their men to finish off their job if by any chance Jin Jiren failed to do so.

She stood up slowly and slowly and held her daughter\'s tiny hands. She took her near the car and all of a sudden, her legs gave away. She was bleeding and she could feel it but she couldn\'t tell her daughter this. There was no way she would be able to get far from here. There was no way she would be able to save herself or the baby inside her, but at least she could save her other daughter.

She was sitting on the ground and leaning against the car door. She held Zhenyi\'s face in her hands and dropped light kisses on her face as if it was a goodbye and she wouldn\'t be able to touch her or hold her again.

"Mama!" Little Zhenyi looked at her with her big mismatched eyes.

"My angel!" Tang Reine said and kissed her hands.

Zhenyi couldn\'t understand her mother\'s odd behavior and blinked at her. Tang Reine chuckled at her confusion.

"Do you know Mama loves you the most?" She asked Zhenyi.

Zhenyi nodded.

She hugged Zhenyi tightly and kissed her hair. "Baby, mom will always be with you, do you hear me? Even when I am not with you, I will be with you."

"You are going somewhere, Mama?" Zhenyi asked in a small voice." You are leaving me?"

Tang Reine smiled painfully. She couldn\'t feel her lower body now. It was hurting. It was hurting so much. It was not the wounds that were causing the pain. It was her foresight that was causing the great ache to her heart and soul. The foresight which was telling her that she wouldn\'t be able to see her children ever again.

She was ready to lose all of her children if it meant they lived safely and happily wherever they were. She was ready to swap everything for the lives of her children, even if it meant giving away hers.

"I don\'t want to, baby," Tang Reine said. " I never wish you to leave my family. I don\'t want to leave my family. Baby, remember family means everything. Family always comes first, even if it means hurting yourself. Let me protect you."

"No No No." Zhenyi shook her head. The tears she was holding back trickled down her cheeks. "Don\'t leave me, Mama. I need you. Don\'t leave me."

Tang Reine\'s eyes were burning but she didn\'t let tears stream down her eyes. It was against her pride. She made others cry. She never cried and she never would. No matter what.

She unlocked the locket from her neck and made Zhenyi wear it. It was a heart-shaped necklace. She smiled as she saw the locket dangling from her neck. It was a little big for her now but it would fit perfectly in the coming years. Her daughter was just seven and she didn\'t know when she would see her again. It could be years later and it could be never!

"Here, I will always be with you, Zhenyi. You are my heart baby. You\'re the heart of our family. You have to love your dad on behalf of your Mama too and always listen to Ryuu okay?" Her voice cracked but she kept smiling warmly and gently at her. She held her in her arms and brushed the tendrils that fell on Zhenyi\'s face. " Tell Ryuu that Mama said he is her little tiger and mama also loves him very much, so much that I can\'t explain in words now. "
