The Typhoon's Dangerous Wife

Chapter 132 - Decision Made

Since Long Jie came there to join Zhenyi for the lunch, they went inside the resort restaurant without any further delay.

Long Jie was inwardly bouncing with excitement as they approach the resort restaurant, where they were supposed to meet for the lunch instead of the parking lot where he had wasted correction –utilized the best thirty minutes in a while. This was the craziest thing they had done. They were not a PDA couple but it was getting difficult for Long Jie to keep his hands off his wife. Between their so-called celibacy phase and their extremely busy schedule, they hadn\'t had a chance to do more than exchange a few words during dinner or sometimes during breakfast, so all he had done was fantasize about their spent time and look for a way to clear the mess he had made again. Now, he had a good feeling that everything would be alright.

Zhenyi texted Bingbing to take an hour off and then pick her up from the same place where they had parted. Although Fan binging was curious, she didn\'t try to pry. Also, she was used to Zhenyi\'s unpredictable nature, so it was not quite unusual for Zhenyi to change her plans at the last moment.

Nevertheless, Fan Bingbing was pleased to spend some me-time with herself.

Long Jie pulled out a chair for her, seeing that Zhenyi settled, he then pulled another seat for him beside her.

A waiter came, filled their glasses with water since no one was ordering anything containing alcohol, and left after noting down their order. They had so much to talk about and he didn\'t want her to get drunk again as she ready smelled of alcohol and it didn\'t take long for him to guess that she had indeed been drinking. However, he chose not to comment.

Her phone dinged and a frown appeared on her smooth forehead. He stared at how she checked the message and typed a reply as the frown transformed into a grimace and then into a scowl. He wondered which human on this realm was capable enough of searing such emotions inside her but he didn\'t ask her.

She placed the phone on the table and brought her attention to him. Finally. Long Jie smiled as he squeezed her hand in his, his thumb caressing her knuckle gently. Her eyes fell on him and then on their clasped hands, she sighed heavily.

"Do you know you called me hubby?" Long Jie said, his eyes still staring at her.

"I didn\'t." Zhenyi gasped in horror.

"You did." He brought her hand to his lips and gently kissed her knuckle as he said," And I quite like it, Cat eyes."

"Well…" the sharp-tongued Zhenyi again at loss for the words.

"By the way, how come you reached before fifteen minutes? The place is quite far from your office," asked Zhenyi changing the course of the conversation.

Now it was Long Jie\'s turn to be wordless. What could he say that he was having coffee with a woman who was not her wife? Of course, he couldn\'t say so but he couldn\'t lie to her either. Although Long Jie always avoided answering the majority of her questions, he never lied to her. He was stuck in such a predicament and that\'s why wise people said never hide anything from your wife.

As he was about to reply, the waiter showed up again, and the next few minutes passed with serving their food.

Once the waiter left, Zhenyi looked at him, her eyes clearly interpreting that she expected an answer and that too soon before she lost her precious patience.

Did she ever mention that patience was one of the virtue she didn\'t possess?

Well, if she didn\'t...

One could guess it easily given her track record of forbearance.

"Well…I was not at the office. I had a coffee meeting with someone," Long Jie honestly answered.

"Coffee meeting like coffee date?" questioned Zhenyi. Taking up her knife and fork, she cautiously cut a small piece and slowly brought it up to her lips. Oddly fascinated, he watched her chew it and wondered how would her lips tasted now.

He groaned inwardly. He had indeed heard of food porn but watching her eating, he understood its meaning quite well.

"Absolutely not," Long Jie denied. He softened his voice and said, "Just coffee meeting, love."

She was kidding about the coffee date. But what\'s with him and his nicknames? She didn\'t know how to respond, it was the first time he called her such a name and honestly she didn\'t know how she felt.

Who was she kidding she exactly knew how she felt!

"Uhuh…"

He took a few bites of his lunch and openly kept watching her even though he knew what would be her incoming question and how bad of a situation he was stuck in. This lunch was to reduce the differences between them, not to worsen it but here he was messing it up even before the situation was in his favor. But the more he didn\'t tell her about the so-called favor thing, the more he realized that she was doing the best by clearing abiding by the contract.

"So, who was the other party in the COFFEE MEETING." questioned Zhenyi just as Long Jie had expected.

"Well… Chen Yuling" Seemed like he had made his decision. There was no point in lying to her, though he never was planning to lie in the first place.

He had made the decision as to what to choose between the two things. On the one hand, he could lead a pity-free life where he didn\'t need to share his baggage with anyone and on the other hand, there was Zhenyi. And it seemed, he had made the decision and whether it was the best thing to do or not, only the time would tell.
