Chapter 532: I Would Have Killed
Box Taylor wiped some of the sweat off his forehead.
"I’m just too lucky." He thought.
Tink! As a splash of sparks flew in all directions, that square-shaped shied that was made with perfection flew into the air and landed in a bucket of cold water that was prepared ahead of time.
Siiiiiii! White steam soared into the sky and the entire workshop felt very moist. However, the glare coming off of the shield was still very eye-piercing despite all the steam in the air.
Qian Jin grabbed onto the shield and threw into another bucket of cold water and more steam appeared in the air.
When the shield left the water, it felt like all the sunlight that was shining on it was being reflected. The shield in Qian Jin’s hand looked more like a mirror for a lady rather than a shield for battle.
"Level 4 Warrior Weapon."
Box Hort was very sharp and he called out the level of the shield.
A level 4 Warrior Weapon may not be much in the eyes of top-tier warriors, but its meaning was completely different when a blacksmith made it within a few hours.
Saber Philip’s face was even more ugly now. He knew that this shield was a level 4 Warrior Weapon. "No wonder he is so arrogant. He has such a fantastic forging skill on top of his combat abilities. If I have a retinue like this, I would protect him with my dear life." He thought.
"Your Highness. There are too many people here and I didn’t have enough time." Qian Jin walked towards Lucifer Lucy with the shield and said with haughtiness, "Please use it for now. I can engrave runes onto it later, and it can be a Magic Item."
Box Hort’s smile stiffed. "This kid also knows runes? Really? If that is the case..."
"Mamen Demon?" Qian Jin suddenly looked at Saber Philip with hostility and said, "You look like those two Mamen Demons I killed. Are you here to avenge for them?"
Saber Philip had a heartache. The murderer of his son and grandson was in front of him, but he couldn’t kill him and had to endure this level of mockery.
"Yeah, I’m the father and the grandfather." Saber Philip looked at Qian Jin with a cold expression and said, "Be careful when you are out. Just in case you die one day without even knowing how." The magic wand in Saber Philip’s hand almost cracked as he held it tightly.
"Your wand is pretty." Qian Jin looked at the wand in Saber Philip’s hand and said, "I like it, please give it to me."
Saber Philip felt like the mixed-blood in front of him is dumb. "I already informed him about my status, and he is asking me for my wand? Even if I don’t hate you, I won’t give this [Judgement Day] wand to you, let alone the fact that we are enemies." He thought. In fact, this [Judgement Day] wand was so dear to him that he wouldn’t even give it to his son or grandson until his death.
Now since all his descendants were dead, he wasn’t not going to give it to anyone.
"You want it? Humph..."
Saber Philip wanted to sneer and mock this mixed-blood in front of him, but a huge shadow of death loomed above his head.
Sneak attack! Saber Philip was shocked. "This is mixed-blood really this idiotic? He is attacking me in this situation?"
The war hammer in Qian JIn’s hand suddenly moved. Warrior Power surged around the hammer and the wind it created already hit Saber Philip’s face before hammer. With just the impact of the wind, Saber Philip felt like his head was hit by a real hammer.
Magic Shield! A spell was automatically cast by Saber Philip. His Legendary Mage’s power was unleashed when his Night Elf Bloodline Battle Form was shown and a black magic shield covered his entire body.
With waves of energy on it, the hammer struck at the magic shield that wasn’t fully open. The iron-like magic shield was bent and it completely cracked in the next second.
Magic Shields that were created by instantly casted spells were far weaker than Magic Shields that were created by spells that required a period of chanting. Although the Magic Shield that Saber Philip created when his Bloodline Battle Form wasn’t completely open was able to defend against the strike of a top-tier Golden Warrior Heart Warrior, it wasn’t enough for Qian Jin.
Even if Qian Jin didn’t use his full strength, this Magic Shield still wouldn’t be able to take the strike.
Bam!
Saber Philip’s body shook violently as soon as the Magic Shield exploded. With his eyes filled with surprise, he thought, "I was trying to kill this bastard after my shield blocked his first attack, but the shield was destroyed. How tragic! I, a Legendary Mage, am going to die here..."
This was the closest Saber Philip had ever been to death, but a huge hand suddenly grabbed onto his shoulder and pulled him back. In the same time, a sharp blade appeared on top of his head and blocked the path of the hammer.
The two weapons collided and a series of sparks appeared in the air. Qian Jin’s hammer bounced off the blade and it felt like the hammer was a boar that feared a dragon. The huge repulsive from the collision almost dragged Qian Jin backward.
Box Hort, who was in his Thunder Eagle Bloodline Battle Form, was the person who placed his blade in front of Saber Philip, and his blade was shivering and making a series of loud rings.
"So powerful?" Box Hort looked at his blade that was crying and thought, "If I’m not here, this Saber Philip, who is a Legendary Mage, would really be killed by this Jiliu Feijing!"
"What are you doing?"
Saber Philip shouted in fear, and numerous magic elements surged towards the crystal on top of the [Judgement Day] wand. He was about to cast a terrifying spell to kill this mixed-blood.
"Philip." Box Hort dashed forward and stood in between Qian Jin and Saber Philip. With his blade targeting the Legendary Mage, he said, "You need to know what you are doing."
"Me? I need to know what I am doing?" Saber Philip shouted angrily, "Box Hort, are you blind? This damn mixed-blood is trying to kill me! What is wrong with me taking revenge?"
"But you are not dead." Box Hort looked at Saber Philip coldly as he was very disappointed. "Why is this dumbass standing beside me? If I didn’t save him, I would definitely be severely punished by the Elder Council." He thought.
However, Qian Jin was unwilling to settle. As he waved his hammer, he pointed at Saber Philip and said, "You wanted to kill me first! I’m just doing what I need to do to stay safe."
Saber Philip was a little surprised. "I tried my best to hide my murderous intent, but he still sensed it?"
"I will kill whoever wants to kill me." Qian Jin said arrogantly, "You wanted to kill me first."
Saber Philip wanted to ask this question, "Where did you see that? Which one of your eyes saw my attacks?" However, he felt like this response was too weak when Box Hort was standing beside him. He was afraid that this sly elder demon would mock him afterward for not having enough balls to say what was on his mind.
"Box Hort, you sure you are doing to protect him?" Saber Philip didn’t stop concentrating the magic elements in the area.
"That is right!" Box Hort straightened his back and said, "I will inform the Elder Council about the new information, and I will wait for the Elder Council’s new decision."
"You..."
Saber Philip stared at Qian Jin viciously. He only had about a 50% chance of winning against Box Hort and he knew that his chance of killing this mixed-blood demon was less than 5%.
"You... You will regret this."
Saber Philip pulled back his wand unwillingly and he said that before walking away with a grudge.
Box Hort looked at Qian Jin powerlessly. "This mixed-blood is too valuable, but he is really arrogant. He dares to kill an elder of the Mamen Demons? Are there things that he doesn’t dare to do? I would have killed him myself if he is not so critical to the rise of Mamen Demons.
More cautiousness appeared in Qian Jin’s eyes. When Box Hort made his move, Qian Jin clearly sensed a familiar aura... saint.
"Did I encounter a Saint Demon Warrior when I just entered the Demon Empire?" Qian Jin frowned. "This demon must be a high-level Mamen Demon. There aren’t many Saint Bloodline Demon Warriors either..." he thought.
"Your Highness..." Box Hort stopped paying attention to Qian Jin. He bowed at Lucifer Lucy and said, "Please allow me to inform the Elder Council. You know that this is not a small matter. After all, Saber Philip’s son and grandson were killed, and this Jiliu Feijing wanted to kill Elder Philip. I have to report..."
With a troubled expression, Lucifer Lucy sighed, "Alright, but you have to promise me that you will minimize the trouble."
"Of course." Box Hort smiled confidently, "I understand the value of this information."
After Box Hort and Box Taylor left, Qian Jin turned around and smiled at Lucifer Lucy. Things went smoother than they thought.
"You almost killed a Legendary Mage, a powerful future loyal subject of mine." Lucifer Lucy held onto Qian Jin’s arm as she said, "You must have done it on purpose."
"Eh." Qian Jin shrugged his shoulder and replied, "I would have killed him if I could. If I can’t, I need to make him hate me more. When he realizes that it is hard for him to kill me on his own..."
