Spending My Retirement In A Game

Chapter 433 - Tool Core

[Ego Rank - 0][Level - 1]

[Description] A Demonic Ego Sword created by the Omni Craftsmaster Eisen. Through a method inspired by Golem Cores, this Sword has gained superior Ego Growth when compared to other Ego Weapons. It was created out of purely Demonic Yin Materials and as such is attuned perfectly toward Combat.

Until the Ego Rank reaches the Item Rank, this Sword will gain Stat Effects superior to a regular Sword’s of the same qualifications, and can then grow from there.

Eisen looked through the item information and just nodded his head excitedly. It wasn’t great that this item didn’t have any current effects beside the Size Changing, but he should be able to change that relatively quickly if Eisen went around and fought against a few Rank 3 or 4 monsters, which he should be able to take even without a weapon.

And so, the old man swiftly set this item to the side happily. He was really glad that he had such a nice weapon now, and couldn’t wait until he had the chance to try it out a little.

For now, however, Eisen had to work on another item as well, the Yang Multitool, before working on the item that Eisen thought up for the two Gems that were left over when the Masses of Yin and Yang were absorbed.

First things first, the old man just split the pile of this white metal up into different parts, all depending on which ’section’ it would be part of. He wanted to compress this a little as well, so he had to plan this out more than when it came to the Sword which was really just a single chunk of metal.

And so, when Eisen had everything ready, he swiftly got to work and started on the smallest layer, the Chisel, and then added the next layer, the blade of the Knife-part of the Multitool. Of course, Eisen already placed small mana-crystals into different parts of these to keep these together with Magnetism enchantmnets that would act seperately to the ’regular’ enchantments that Eisen would place on this later on.

Then, Eisen made the next pieces, the second handle, which would be simply placed around the first handle, and then added the ’base’ for the larger tools to this. Considering that Eisen made this Multi-Tool a couple of times while in the state of Deep Concentration, he was able to do all of this quite swiftly without needing to think about it all that much.

After that, the old man smithed all of the different parts that could be moved around the base in different angles and orientations to form either a pickaxe, a regular axe, a shovel, a hoe, or a hammer, and then placed everything together before adding the ’third handle’ so that he could actually have a proper grip on everything when using this tool in its pickaxe, shovel, or axe modes.

The only thing that Eisen then had to do was to simply add the small section that had smaller things like needles inside of it that could be screwed out of it quite swiftly.

And then, Eisen got started on the ’Tool Core’. This time around, the first handle would get a ’sub-core’, so that the chisel and knife would work even when not directly connected to the main-core. That would mean that the different parts couldn’t be that far away from the main core, however, and that wasn’t really that big a deal anyway.

In the end, the old man did something similar as for the ’Weapon Core’, just that he didn’t focus the basic enchantment on combat, but on crafting, obviously. And once more, Eisen used a yang-metal-gem mixture to fill the enchantments on the Multitool with before enchanting these different ’webs’ individually as well.

Soon enough, Eisen managed to finish this Multitool again and placed everything together, placing the ’Tool Core’ into the top of the base that the ’Big Tool’ parts were connected to, and then put the ’Soul Nucleus’ into the center of the Tool Core.

And in the end, Eisen now had this white hammer in his hand, with a main handle that he could screw in to and out of itself for different lengths and multiple different modes that it could take on.

Just like that, Eisen saw this piece as finished with a satisfied nod.

[Demonic Yang Ego Multi-Tool]

With a smirk on his face, Eisen just cracked his knuckles and took a close look at both the Yin Sword and the Yang Tool, before making his way toward and out of the Dungeon Gate as swiftly as he could, and peeked his head out of the window at the front of the carriage.

"Well then, you two... Could you stop for a moment?" Eisen asked the two Fey-Kin siblings, who looked at him startled and did as asked, while Eisen took a look around himself with his Mana-Sight active to search for some Monsters, before seeing a few different moving spots in the distance.

"I’ll be right back. Just wait here for a little while and take a break. Oh, and if you could, it would be great if you could feed Cabarum and Aulu as well." The Old man chuckled as he made his way away from the carriage with his new Multitool in a section of his Apron, while it and his Sword both grew in size together with him, while Eisen changed his Demonic Transformation, and as far toward the Yin state as he could. Because first, he would test out the Sword, although he turned around once more before being out of audible reach for Sky and Bree.

"Oh! Before I forget, there’s some Pastry in the Reception area! Treat yourseves a little!" He exclaimed with a loud laugh as he hurried off excitedly, soon reaching the spot with the different monsters. It seemed like they were simple Orcs, bi-pedal pig-like Monsters with a horrid smell to them. They were pretty strong and often wandered in groups. The old man figured there was something like a Field-Dungeon for Orcs around these parts as well.

Usually, due to their wild and intelligence-free nature, Orcs didn’t react to mental attacks, however right now when faced with a being like Eisen, they couldn’t help themselves. He was far stronger than these Rank 3 monsters, double their height, and just looked outright terrifying in this Demonic Form.

But to their demise, Eisen managed to swing the blade across the first Orc’s body quite swiftly. He noticed that there wasn’t really much of a stat benefit for this weapon right away, even if it was just in the fact that there was more resistance in the Orc’s body than Eisen expected.

Either way, soon, this Orc had one arm less and had its torso nearly cut in half, but was still alive, even if it was struggling to stay that way. And with just another quick attack, Eisen finished this Orc up. It didn’t make him level up, as this was supposed to be hard-enough as is at Level 200 even when farming with Rank 5 Monsters, but his Sword gained a fair bit of experience!

In one go, it leveled up to Level 16 and gained a few stat bonuses, even if put together they could be counted on both hands.

It was just Rank 0 in its ego-growth, so it made sense for there to only be little benefit. Eisen was surprised that there even was any sort of benefit like that at that Rank at all. But he didn’t think he should complain and just continued on.

And so, for a little while longer, Eisen just slayed any Orc that was around here, soon enough bringing the Level to 100, although he wasn’t entirely sure what he was supposed to do now.

After all, it wasn’t like a notification appeared when that happened that let him actively let the weapon Rank up like with the Dungeon.

So instead, Eisen had a good enough chance to try and figure out how to properly let this kind of Ego-Item ’Rank Up’, grabbing another blank soul. But nothing that Eisen tried to do really worked. He tried to push this soul into the core or push it just simply into the item itself, but the weapon didn’t accept it at all.

And that’s when Eisen had a little bit of a different idea. First, Eisen placed the Soul Nucleus into the hollow crystal core and then ’scooped’ the rest around with his hand, rubbing it along the surface of the sword with the intent of letting it just seep in.

And so, soon enough, it seemed like the ’Soul Mass’ was properly added onto the Sword and the two Nuclei started floating around each other inside of the Core, before Eisen checked the Item-Information.

Right now, it said that its Ego-Rank was at 1, and its Level at 0. "Hmm, so maybe I just need to make it level up a little?" The old man muttered quietly and stood back up and properly grasped the handle of the pitch black sword in his hand.

"Now then, where’s the next ones?" Eisen asked himself and quickly made his way further through this part of the forest-area. This was acutally harder than Eisen thought, considering just how large he was at the moment.

But soon enough, the old demon reached a clearing, where a stronger Orc than usual waited for him, surrounded by about half a dozen regular Orcs. This one was carrying a quite large, rusted and dull sword in one hand and a bent and dented tower-shield in the other, and was about three meters tall, meaning that it was still shorter than Eisen.

And just when Eisen wanted to approach that ’Leading’ Orc, it turned around, apparently in response to an arrow shot at it from the opposite side of the clearing from Eisen’s perspective.

Eisen concentrated on what was going on from there, and soon noticed a group of three players approaching the Orc. One Archer, one Warrior, and one Mage, although the Warrior and the Mage seemed to be yelling at the Archer at the moment.

"What the f.u.c.k are you doing?" The Warrior exclaimed, but the Archer just stared back confusedly "I was trying to get rid of any of the Orcs that I can!" He yelled in response, but the Wizard simply ground his teeth and continued running from the horde of Orcs already hunting them on top of these new Orcs.

"You just aggro’d an even stronger Orc! We can’t even take on these Rank 3 ones!" The Wizard pointed out as the group made their way into the clearing to try and get past it as quickly as they could, although then they suddenly saw the Giant-Ass, winged Demon standing there and stopped in their track.

It seemed like even they were quite terrified right now, and Eisen couldn’t help but just smirk. "Now, now, that’s kind of rude, isn’t it?" The old man laughed, slowly stepping forward, pressing down the grass underneath his feet while swinging around his weapon easily.

"If you guys need help, you shouldn’t be like that toward the one person that could offer you that help."
